When is a PDF page preserved exactly?
A page qualifies when it draws one full-page standalone image and no visible text, vectors, forms, inline images, or additional pictures. Original JPEG streams are copied byte for byte when available.
What happens to incompatible PDF pages?
Nothing is rendered automatically. Choose hybrid mode to render only incompatible pages, or render-all mode for a uniform raster archive.
